  • What is The Gospel?

    Our ministry outreach is dedicated sharing The Gospel. The term "gospel" literally translates to "good news"! John 3:16 says: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whomever believes in him may not perish but have everlasting life". 


    What does this mean, you might wonder? What makes this such wonderful news? We must first understand the "bad news" to fully understand why the Gospel is good news. Sin is the "bad news." In Romans 3:23, we read that: "everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God's beautiful standard." From this Bible verse, we see that sin is the result of failing to meet God's ideal. The book of Romans also teaches us that the penalty (cost) of sin is death, which means permanent separation from God. (Rom. 6:23).


    This is where the Gospel enters the picture! "But the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord," says the same line in Romans. God sent his one and only Son, Jesus, to live a sinless life on Earth. Jesus was killed and resurrected three days later as payment for all of our sins. Death has been vanquished, and the penalty for sin has been paid, thanks to this act of sacrifice! Salvation is a gift that is freely offered to everyone who believes. At Living Word Outreach Center Inc., we are sharing this good news throughout Georgia and beyond! 

  • How can I become a Christian?

    A Christian is someone who believes in the redemptive power of Jesus' death on the cross. We cannot gain everlasting life with God through our own power or acts; it can only be obtained through faith in Christ's sacrifice on the cross. To accept this gift, all you have to do is believe! To become a Christian, simply pray a prayer like this one with sincerity and faithfulness:


    "Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I pray for You to forgive me. I believe that You died for my sins and that you rose from the dead. Right now, I invite You into my heart. I put my trust in You as my Lord and Savior, and I want to turn from sin and live my life for You and Your perfect plan for me."


    If you prayed that prayer with real repentance and belief, you are a Christian! There are angels in Heaven rejoicing over your decision (Luke 15:10).
